As aesthetic professionals, our business is to educate our clients about the best methods to take care of their skin. We will start by asking, “What are your major http://colorbundles.com/wp-json/oembed/1.0/embed?url=http://colorbundles.com/workshops-events/pet-portrait-workshop/ skin care concerns and what are your priorities?” The answers allow us to get an insight and understanding into what a person dislikes about their appearance, and develop a strategy to get them looking and feeling their best.
Clients will share with us their skin care practices. What we find is that most bad skin care habits are not limited to just one person. If you are making the mistake, chances are many others are as well. We all make mistakes. There is comfort in knowing we are not alone.
For this reason, we have compiled a list of common skin care mistakes almost everyone makes.
get link Not Wearing Foundation – Many of our clients have a goal of not using makeup, or go without makeup believing it is a cause of premature aging. Foundation actually protects your skin from the sun and environment. The sun’s effects are the #1 cause of wrinkles.
http://exploremovement.com/blog/ Not Removing Makeup – It is important to wear makeup during the day to protect your skin, but you must remove your makeup at night before going to bed. Makeup will trap oil and dirt in your pores. Removing it every night is the first step to proper skin care.
Not Using Products for Your Skin Type – If you are using a reputable skin care product, the most likely reason you are not seeing the promised results is it is not designed for your skin type. We recommend coming into our office to have your skin evaluated.
Not Using Sunscreen on Your Neck – Many people will use a moisturizer with SPF on their face and then either just wipe the extra on their neck or miss this area completely. Your neck must be treated with the same care as your face. Apply your sunscreen generously.
Not Using Gentle Cleansers – Many clients go a little overboard with cleaning their skin. The overuse of soaps, alcohol-based cleansers, and harsh astringents is a skin care no-no. Over cleaning your skin can kick oil production into overdrive to fight dryness, making things worse. We recommend gentle and fragrance-free cleansers.
